(AP) — ALEXANDRIA, La. - A Woodworth woman arrested in 2008 and booked with reportedly stealing more than $400,000 from her former employer has been sentenced to 10 years at hard labor.
On Monday, Donna Lynn Laird Ledington Kerry was ordered by state District Judge Thomas Yeager to begin the jail sentence immediately and to also pay restitution in the amount of $318,383.
Kerry pleaded guilty to 17 counts of felony theft of more than $500 in July.
When she was arrested in May 2008, Kerry was booked with 67 counts of theft in connection with issuing unauthorized checks from Cardio Vascular Surgery of Alexandria to herself and other entities to pay her own personal bills.
