Baton Rouge – The Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum will sponsor its Spring Summit on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Baton Rouge Marriott.
Entitled "Better Ways to Pay for Health Care", the informational event will bring together national and local leaders to share their unique perspectives on payment reform.
Alan Weil, executive director of the National Academy for State Health Policy, will deliver the keynote address. Other presenters on the agenda include David Willis, managing director of The Advisory Board Company; Warner Thomas, president and chief operating officer of Ochsner Health System; Edgar Silvey, chief executive officer of the Baton Rouge Clinic; Kenneth Phenow, MD, chief medical officer for BlueCross and BlueShield of Louisiana; and Barbara Guerard, vice president of health systems for Peoples Health.
