Gov. Bobby Jindal and other state officials announced the Health Finder Louisiana Web site during a stop in Shreveport this afternoon.

The site, at www.HealthFinderLA.gov, allows people to compare hospital and nursing home quality and find prices for common prescription medications.

State officials will add more information to the site every three months. Quality information for home health agencies and dialysis programs will be added in April.

The prescription drug list will eventually be expanded to 200 common name-brand and generic medication for children and adults.
